Abstract: This paper describes the background of the development of solar cells and the history of the development of the dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). Then it introduces the basic structure of DSSC, working principle, fabrication process and related performance parameters of solar cells. The basic structure consists of five main components: conductive glass (FTO), nano-oxide semiconductor film (TiO2),dye, electrolyte solution and electrode (Counter electrode). This article mainly study the design of the internal structure of tests for dye-sensitized solar cells, including two types of series and parallel . Series DSSC access to high voltage, while parallel DSSC will be high-current, both have advantages. Through a series of comparative tests, analyze and discuss, we can get the advantages and disadvantages in series and parallel. Finally, we refer to the problems and challenges of DSSC in the future.
