Based on low-power design of the portable temperature and humidity measuring instrument
Abstract
With the rapid development of electronic industry and the commonly use of the portable equipment, low power design becomes the mainstream in embedded design. International financial crisis largely impacts the whole world economy, which make it more necessary to maintain this design thinking. In the most concerning of daily life and industry application, there are two basic norms: temperature and humidity. However, the data gathering process by traditional thermometer and wet and dry bulb hygrometer meets more and more problems, meeting no requirement of modern industry control technology. Thus, this analysis conducts on the design taking the integration digital temperature-humidity sensor SHT10 as data collector. Hongjing Technology’s low-voltage single-chip STC89LE52RC is used as Master Controller, sending collected signal back to single-chip, processing the relevant procedures. At last it is shown on the LCD. User can selectively store the collected data into the equipment with this design. Moreover, with the connection between RS232 bus and PC, WINCC, wrote by VC software in PC, can read the data which is stored in the equipment. So it is very convenient for user to analyze the data.
This equipment focuses on the portable products. Thus, the main point that whether the products can be promoted depends on whether it is low energy consumption and long time use. This study concerns much on the design of power management, standby power and other industry topics, related discussion and research, and proposed a closely integrated with the user in the system level up to the importance of green design.
