Accompanying with the rapid development of digital technology and widespread use of the digital components, the M-ary digital modulation technique by its unique characteristics occupies the dominant position on digital video broadcast, mobile communication and so on. QPSK is one of the most widespread digital modulation methods. In the paper, a digital QPSK modulator based on CPLD is studied and implemented.
This paper introduces the principles and processes of QPSK modulation in detail and presents the design and realization of a QPSK modulator based on CLPD. The modulation of four types of baseband signals is presented in this paper, by changing the parameters of the in the programs.
The digital modulation method put forward in this paper is relatively new and achieving a high practicality. This plan provides a flexible and effective method for the designers. The CPLD target board designed in the research can be used as the hardware platform for other CPLD development subject in the Lab.
