Abstract:Along with the widely combination of embedded device and Internet or wireless network ,the complex application such as mobile phone, PDA, router , modem , long-distance controller and the intelligence home etc put forward higher demand on the performance of embedded processor, therefore developing 32-bit high performance processors will be an inevitable trend. The design of the present dissertation mainly uses the ARM chip to bring out a simple PDA system which can also be applied in other system, i.e. this digital board also prepares for the further development. This system selects ST Corporation’s ARM7 chip STR710 to design an embedded PDA controller. It mainly implement on gathering some parameter and controlling external equipment, the function including display, data processing and other control process. The dissertation mainly introduced entire hardware electric circuit and software design, including schematic diagram design of digital board and start-up procedure design in software.
