With the increasingly fierce market competition, enterprises, in order to adapt to the new competitive environment, must continuously improve efficiency, reduce costs and shorten delivery-time. In this highly competitive environment, the establishment of production management system that is in line with the actual production adapts to satisfy the need of market and their own development.
Production scheduling is the core of production management, to carry out and complete the goal of production management; it relies on a reasonable schedule to ensure the plan. It studies how to allocate the resources in various processes reasonability, and how to reduce the preparing time before processing, waiting and transporting time to improve equipment utilization, reduce production costs. The research in production scheduling problem and the method is to improve the management level of enterprises; it is of a great significance to enhance the competitiveness of the industry as a whole to promote the progress and development.
This paper do research on production scheduling in a company's assembly line, and come up with optimization methods of production scheduling in this enterprise, and improve production scheduling of enterprise. All this reduce product inventory for companies, increasing workshop productivity and improve customer satisfaction.
This paper is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter of this paper, we have introduced the significance of the subject, as well as the progress of production scheduling and its development trends. In the second chapter, we have introduced some theoretical knowledge of production scheduling, including the definition and content of production scheduling, its importance in the enterprise, the classification and features of production scheduling, as well as the main research methods and research strategies. In the third chapter, we have taken the main assembly line of a production scheduling as an example, through analysis, we identify the problems existing in the process of production scheduling, and then propose an optimized method. Its main optimization is to optimize network planning. The final chapter mainly makes a conclusion about the whole article and makes a future outlook the research on the production scheduling.
