Title: Effectiveness of hospitalized children with two kinds of indwelling intravenous catheter site ABSTRACT Objective: To investigate the back of the hand and forearm vein intravenous indwelling intravenous catheter system in effect, the right choice for clinical sites provide the basis for detention. Methods: The use of intravenous catheter system of the 205 cases of patients were randomly divided into experimental group (forearm puncture) 107cases, the control group (the back of the hand puncture) of 98 cases, From the retention time, the incidence of catheter complicationsand patient acceptanceof three areas of comparison between the two puncture site retention effect. Results: From the retention time(t=2.12,p<0.05), the incidence of complications u=3.35、p<0.01) and patient acceptability (X2 =5.34,P<0.05)of the three areas, intravenous catheter system in the forearm and the back of the hand puncture are significant differences, with statistical significance. Conclusion: The forearm indwelling intravenous catheter system better than the back of the hand vein, intravenous catheter system should be the most appropriate site of puncture. Key words: Intravenous Indwelling Needle: puncture site: results.
