ABSTRACT
In recent years, a variety of embedded digital products has started to become a processing tools about the information after the PC. Most of these products need to dump the data and backup functions. Flash memory card has an ideal storage device in the embedded system because of their high storage density, easy to program and re-program, read and write speed, low cost features. Compact Flash memory card (CF) is the most widely used flash memory card in the embedded system.
The issue introduces the basic structure and working principle about the CF card and a detailed description of the use method on the Linux block device driver. It achieves under the DOS environment to the file system operation and the CF card for standard document read-write operation. It platforms in the ARM7 Embedded System and combines with the teaching of experimental about the SmartARM2200
