As an important component of modern distance education, virtual experiments play an irreplaceable role in the aspect of instruction effect. The professional audio laboratory needed by current educational technology mainly provides audio processing, video and audio signal acquisition, editing and playback, and so on for distance education network programs and multimedia CAI.
The paper explores Virtual experiments technology based on a combination of VRML and 3DS MAX used in Audio Laboratory. And it discusses key technical issues such as static modeling of experimental audio equipments dynamic simulation of experiment in the form of examples. Firstly, the author used corresponding software for 3D model in order to protrude highlighted authenticity. Then more interactive is achieved with VRML nodes such as message, active window, computer, bright lights dimmer, voice controlling and so on. Above all, it tries to achieve the effect as authentically as possible of real audio laboratory.
