Abstract
Mold is the basis for industrial production technology and equipment, and an important part of the machinery industry and high-tech industries. Injection mold is growing fastest and being most widely used in the mold areas. So studying the knowledge of injection mold is good to know more about the process of plastic products, and it also makes sense to improve the products quality. This article is about the injection mold design and this design is for a product of calipers box. Firstly, it produces the molding’s structure and technology, and then draw the detail drawing through mapping. In the case of knowing the mold material which is PP1340, the article makes sure of shrinkage, dimensional accuracy, surface quality and technological parameter of molding. At last, on the basis of those parameters choose a right injection molding machine. In the process of design, at first, it makes sure the numbers of molding sand and the location of parting surface. After choosing the mold base, start to design gating system、pouring gate、guide rail system、sliders、ejection system、exhaust system、cooling system. After finishing the first step of design, using plastic advisor of a part pro/engineer analyses gate location、molding filling、colling quality、injection pressure and so on to make sure the design is or not right. If everything is ok, then finish the design.
