Extraction of Active Components from bamboo leaves and their anti-microbial actives
Abstract: In this article, the extraction technology of active components from bamboo leaves and their anti-microbial actives were studied. The anti-microbial activity of different extracts with different extraction methods and solvent extraction was defermined by filter paper method and dilution plate count method. The results showed that the extracts of bamboo leaves have better anti-microbial activities against Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtills and have poor anti-microbial activities against Escherichia Coli. In all extracts, the water extract after the petroleum ether and butanol extraction had the best anti-microbial activities with the extract condition: 60℃, 60 %(v/v)ethanol, solid/liquid ratio 1:8, 1h, the mean diameters of Staphylococcus aureus was 34mm, and the mean diameters of Bacillus subtills was 32mm, espectively.
