THE Experimental Study of Cold plasma reduction
Abstract:Non equilibrium plasma is capable of degrading most gaseous pollutants;its potentials for air pollution control has received more attention in recent years.The paper presents introductions to plasma.its classlfi—cation and generation as well as the fundamentals of using plasma for air pollution control such as degradation of SO2,NOx many VOCs and removal of particulate matters.The direction of future research in the plasma technology for airpollution applications is also covered in detail.
Non-thermal plasma technology is recognized as one of the most effective ways to remove low-concentration gases. It became the important method to treated lower concentration and huge flux harmful gases, for its advantage of high degradation efficiency, low demanded energy, and less byproduction.
Our work summarized the production method of non-thermal plasma and its application.The results showed that the use of non-thermal plasma technology at room temperature and higher purging speed,removal efficiency of toluene reached 74.9%.
