摘要

 随着信息技术的发展，与人们的生活密切相关的数据、 图像及声音等信号都需要进行传输。早期采用电缆来传输信号，但存在衰耗大等原因，难以保证传输效果，为提高传输质量，现在均采用光纤通信。所谓光纤通信，就是利用光波来载送信息，并实现通信的方法，由于其容量大、传输距离远、越来越受到广大用户的青睐。
 本文简单介绍了光纤传输系统的概念、产生、定义及分类。同时也介绍了简单的光纤传输系统的设计与实现。

ABSTRACT

 With the development of information technology, signals such as data, image and voice, which are closely related to people's lives, need transporting. In early time, we transported signals with electric cables. However, it is difficult to ensure the transmission effect because of the large loss. Now we all choose the optical fiber communication to improve the transmission quality. The so-called optical fiber communication is a method to achieve communication by using light waves to carry information. It is favored more and more for its large capacity, long transmission distance.
 The paper briefly introduces the concepts, definition and classification of the optical fiber communication. It also gives a simple design and implementation
