Abstract
Along with the modernization of production mechanization and automation, capacity of power supply increased continuously, voltage of power grid continuously improve, the requirement of reliability of electrical equipment and technical requirements of the advanced nature getting higher and higher. It’s necessary to develop intelligent high-voltage protection monitoring system in order to guarantee personal and equipment security effectively. Microcomputer high-voltage power grid relay protection system has strong anti-interference capability, it is convenient to set that on-site observation protection methods and the protection of parameters through the keyboard and LCD display modules. Ordinary collecting method is difficult to calculate for multi-channel approach to sampling, in order to avoid the above inadequate and satisfy the requirements of modern power system, advanced digital signal processing (DSP) technology applications are introduced to the power system and show its strong rapid operational and run in parallel processing capability, which satisfy the requirements of real-time monitoring and processing algorithms, establishing a technology base in practice for continuous development of new theories and new algorithm in the power detection system.
Basing on TI Corporation's DSP chips TMS320LF2407A as high-voltage protection system CPU in this article, AC analog which comes from high voltage power grid is converted to digital value which DSP can process by 14-bit A/D converter MAX125, monitoring the entire status of the high-voltage power grid in real-time, tripping off by controlling external relay quickly when abnormal operation happened, turn off the power grid to protect the power grid and other electrical equipment.
