With people’s environmental awareness improving, developed countries taking advantage of their economy and technology, set up series of green trade barriers for other countries particularly developing countries, to limit these countries’ agricultural imports, thereby protecting their domestic agricultural markets. In recent years, China’s agricultural products export has encountered block of green trade barrier many times abroad. Export costs of agricultural products have increased, international competitiveness has decreased and export performance has suffered a serious setback.
This article based on relative literature study, first states green trade barrier and protection measures in developed countries, then analyze the effects of green trade barrier on export of China’s agricultural product and the domestic and international factors. Finally, on the basis of development trends of green trade barriers, draw lesson from international experience and domestic choices and put forward some policies and proposals to achieve sustainable development of China’s agricultural product export.
