CPI plays an important role in the national economy, it can be used to measure the level of inflation, the extent and cost of living, and is widely used in eva luation of various types of expenditure can be indexed, such as income, social insurance, interest payments and property contracts the actual level. Therefore, the in-depth study China's current consumer price index and to improve and perfect the preparation method is of great significance. According to the actual situation in China， this paper is from the perspective of International comparison ，compared with the United States, Germany and other Western countries and China typically CPI index approach, by comparison, found problems in the preparation of our CPI and proposed countermeasures.
