Isobaric Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium for System of Water+Dimethyl sulfoxide and Acetic acid+Dimethyl sulfoxide
Abstract: Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium(VLE)data is an important foundation for the chemical data, In article, the phase composition of isobaric VLE data for water + dimethyl sulfoxide and acetic acid + dimethyl sulfoxide system was measured at 101.33kPa by using an improved Rose still, and the thermodynamic consistency of the experimental VLE data was satisfactory.
Moreover, most of the activity coefficient model of VLE is the misalignment model, and the regression of parameter is very difficult. In the past, with Fortran, C and BASIC language programming, but the procedure is cumbersome and error-prone. Recent years, the powerful capabilities of MATLAB language started to apply in the calculation of engineering, MATLAB programming easy, also the code is short and highly effective. Author used the MATLAB language to compile the model parameter regression procedures of Van Laar, Wilson, NRTL and 6 polynomials for the first time. Secondly, the ant algorithm is a new and intelligent algorithm. In article, fitting parameters model of activity coefficient used by this algorithm, also done some exploration work.
The results showed that the analysis of gas chromatography was more precise, the data could provide a basal data for the dimethyl sulfoxide’s purification, as well as for the design of the acetic acid’s extraction and rectification. MATLAB program is simple and reliable, but also can produce the fitting chart directly.
