Abstract: The functional bacterium was identified through traditional and modern isolation and identification methods. The taxonomic position was ascertained based on the investigation of configuration, physiological and biochemical properties, and 16Sr DNA analysis. The activity of the bacterium was investigated. The result shows: Gi is a kind of dephosphorization bacteria under anaerobic condition which is not reported. The 16Sr DNA analysis indicated the strain had a 99.3% of homology with Acinetobacter sp and not registered. Its best carbon source is sodium acetate and best nitrogen source is ammonium chloride. During the process of accumulating phosphorus the best pH value is 7.0 under anoxic condition. The best temperature is 35 ℃, and than 30 ℃, the effect of 20℃、25℃ is common, but 10℃ and 40℃ are the worst. The best ORP value during the anoxic state is between -50~-110mV.Nitrite is more efficient and quick to denitrify and accumulate phosphorus when it is used as electronic acceptor.
