Abstrac:γ-aminobutyricacid is a kind of non-protein amino acids and an important inhibitory neurotransmitter。This paper introduces the microbial fermentation production of γ-aminobutyric acid,the test items and methods of γ-aminobutyric acid。Glutamic acid decarboxylase has the highest activity,when the fermentation's temperature around 37℃ and the pH is about 5。The product contian about 80% of GABA, but the product's pH are change often。So the production process should be improved.
