Determination of Albendazole and its metabolites in Aquatic products by HPLC
Abstract: The determination of Albendazole and its metabolites in aquatic products was established by using high performance liquid chromatography (Agilent-1100, USA) with a photodiode array detector detector (DAD, USA), a C18 column (ZORBAX-SB). The mobile phase was a mixture of acidified acetonitrile and water (25/75, v/v) and a mixture of methanol and phosphate buffer (75/25, v/v). 20 µl samples at room temperature injected onto the column through a 20 µl sample loop. Column temperature is 300C.The mobile phase rate was delivered at 1.0 ml/min. Detection wavelength: 295.4nm. In the range of 0. 1 - 10μg/ml, the results of Albendazole and its metabolite are linearly dependent. The mean extraction recoveries of Albendazole and its metabolites ranged from 80% to 90%. The method of determining the Albendazole and its metabolites in aquatic product was established by using reversed-phase HPLC, which had characters of simple and rapid operation, high yield and good reproducibility.
