The Photosynthesis Differences among 25 Medium- and Large-Sized
Inflorescence Chrysanthemum Cultivars
tract: The photosynthetic characteristics of 25 chrysanthemum varieties were measured in present paper by Li-6400 portable photosynthesis system. The photosynthesis differences were comprehensively analyzed and compared. The results indicated that, among 25 cultivars of chrysanthemum varieties, there were very obvious differences in photosynthesis speed (Pn), the transpiration speed (Tr), the water content (H2O-S), the blowhole relative humidity (RH-S), the blowhole leads (Gs), water use efficiency (WUE) and the CO2 density between the cells (Ci). The correlation between Pn and Ci was significantly negative. The correlation of Pn and Tr, Pn and H2O-S, Pn and RH-S, Pn and Gs were not significant. The correlations between Tr, H2O-S,RH-S, Gs were very significant. Among 25 cultivars, some cultivars had high WUE and high Pn, such as ‘Eryuewang’, ‘Bayuewang’, ‘Weixing’ and ‘Shenma’. Their yield potential was excellent.
